The AL1 Field in the Response

This field encodes the following portions of the CMR:

The AL1segment is used here to communicate information about allergies. If the site stores more information about this allergy than there are fields defined in this segments, the information that could not be put here could be put in OBR/OBX segments with appropriate pointers to the relevant AL1 segment.

This segment is described in figure 3-6 on page 3-38 of the version 2.2 standard.
