Downloading
RELNET
The RELNET
software is for academic and non-profit use only; commercial use is allowed
with a signed licensing agreement.
A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) must first be installed before downloading
the RELNET software. Though this is automatically provided by many modern
operating systems, one can download
and install this for free from Sun Microsystems if needed.
The
current version of RELNET is version 2.0 beta 22, and can be downloaded
here.
Save this file as Relnet.jar. There is currently no installer.
To
run this software, open a terminal window (Linux or Mac OS X) or Command
Prompt (Windows), move to the appropriate directory where the program
was downloaded, and type java -Xmx500m -jar Relnet.jar .
The RELNET software is currently in beta testing. The current version
no longer expires and has limited support. Users finding bugs are encouraged
to e-mail Atul Butte with
comments.
After the beta testing period has completed, users eventually will need
to download a new version from this page. Academic and non-profit users
will be required to download, print and sign this licensing
agreement.
Please
note: availability of the server component of RELNET (i.e. graph layout
and lookup of gene symbols) will be limited between April and June 2005,
due to my moving to Stanford University.
